Ekka Success

Ekka 2017 has come and gone! The four students that represented Proston State School P – 10, Grace Tallar, Stephanie Flint, Elleana Caswell and Jade Mann, all did a fantastic job representing their school, families and the greater Proston community. The girls tried their absolute best in all of their junior handler and their junior judging competition. They fought through exhaustion to keep their animals fed and watered and on cleaning bedding throughout the 8 day event.

The girls also did a fantastic job in presenting their animals for the animal classes with Jade leading Mysti to a 2nd place in her class. Grace led Dangora Gully Leia for a 2nd in her class with Stephanie close behind in 4th place. Finally, Elleana did an awesome job showing off all of Rosie’s great attributes for a second in her class as well.

Overall, the girls and the heifers had an enjoyable experience whilst learning a lot about themselves, their animals and the beef industry in general.
