On this page you will find information about the state-wide move to move Year 7 to High School.
In an effort to be aligned with other states and to help implement the Australian Curriculum, Year 7 will move to high school in all state, Catholic and independent schools in Queensland by 2015.
In addition, Junior Secondary will be introduced in all state schools from 2013 for Years 8 and 9, with Year 7 joining in 2015. Catholic and independent schools will decide how their Years 7, 8 and 9 will be structured.
